We Are Jazz

We Are Jazz is a faceless Persian noir jazz project by Yashar Bab. Some call it Persian Jazz, some Iranian Jazz, some Noir Jazz — we call it the sound of running away from things that don’t exist anymore.

Right now, We Are Jazz lives inside a machine. The plan is to break it out, the same songs, played by human hands.

We make background music for the exhausted hearts: for reading letters that were never sent, for writing stories that will never happen, for lives that feel like black-and-white films. Music for people who don’t want to be alone with their thoughts, but can’t stand people either.

If any of that sounds familiar, you found home. Press play and stay a while.
